Organic Cities at the 3rd European Congress of Local Governments
The Warsaw "Institute for Eastern Europe Studies" cordially invites you to participate in the 3rd European Congress of Local Governments to be held in Krakow from 27th to 28th March 2017.
Together with the organizers, EkoConnect is organizing a panel discussion on the topic "Organic farming in Eastern Central Europe - an uncultivated field?"
The organic sector is one of the most sustainable and promising sectors with high growth rates. A worthwhile field for environmentally friendly business promotion. The following questions will therefore be discussed at the panel discussion:
- How could local governments promote organic agriculture and food?
- What projects are currently supported by municipalities?
- What are the challenges facing municipalities?
- What are the opportunities of organic food production for the region?
The annual congress with almost 2,000 participants serves as a platform for local and regional decision-makers from all over Europe to share their experiences, as well as to establish contacts with business, media and civil society. The official partner of the event is the city of Krakow. The varied program includes seven topics with over 50 different events: panel discussions, workshops, lectures, presentations and receptions. Conference languages are English and Polish. The congress takes place at the ICE KRAKÓW Congress Center.
