Die
Sommerakademie Ökologische Tierzucht und Ökologische Tierhaltung ist eine
zweiwöchige internationale Lehrveranstaltung zu ausgewählten Themen der
ökologischen Tierproduktion, mit speziellem Bezug zu praktischen
Herausforderungen des Ökolandbaus in Europa. Die Sommerakademie besteht aus
mehreren Unterrichtstagen, Besuche von Ökobetrieben, Diskussionen und einem
Abschlussexamen. Studenten erhalten für die Teilnahme 4 ECTS credit points und
ein Teilnahmezertifikat. Unterrichtssprache ist Englisch.
Mit der
Sommerakademie sollen der Transfer und der Austausch von Wissen zum Ökolandbau
innerhalb Europas und die wissenschaftliche Zusammenarbeit auf diesem Gebiet
gefördert werden. Die Sommerakademie stellt außerdem eine Ergänzung zum regulären
Studienprogramm an mittel- und osteuropäischen Hochschulen dar und trägt damit
zur Verbesserung der Ausbildung junger Agraringenieure bei.
Die
Sommerakademie ist ein Kooperationsprojekt vom Fachgebiet Nutztierethologie und
Tierhaltung an der Fakultät für Ökologische Agrarwissenschaften der Universität
Kassel (Deutschland), der Estonian University of Life Sciences in Tartu
(Estland), der Fachhochschule Eberswalde (Deutschland), der Ege Universität in
Izmir (Türkei), der University of Agricultural Sciences and Veterinary Medicine
of Cluj-Napoca (Rumänien), der HTW in Dresden (Deutschland), der Faculty of
Agriculture and Life Sciences der Universität of Maribor (Slowenien), der
Mendel University of Agriculture and Forestry in Brünn (Tschechien), der Warsaw
University of Life Sciences (Polen), der BOKU-University of Natural Resources
and Applied Life Sciences, Wien (Österreich) und EkoConnect (Deutschland).

The SummerAcademy on Organic Animal
Breeding and Organic Animal Husbandry is an internationally oriented
training course lasting two weeks, covering selected
topics from the field of organic animal production, which are going to be
presented with special relevance to the practical challenges of organic
agriculture systems in Europe. The course comprises
several days of lectures, visits to organic farms, discussion meetings and an
assessment at the end. The Academy takes place in Dresden and the course language is English.
Students will get four ECTS credit points and a certificate of participation.
The SummerAcademy’s aim is to support the transfer and the
exchange of knowledge about organic agriculture within Europe
and the scientific co-operation in this field. The SummerAcademy
is also an enlargement of the regular study programme at Central and Eastern
European universities. Moreover it contributes to an improvement of education
of young agrarian engineers. Advanced students of agriculture and related
fields are encouraged to apply for participation.
